Delta King at Twilight
The Delta King is permanently moored on the Sacramento River at quaint Old Sacramento, California. It is an historic paddle boat with two fine dining restaurants and two dinner theaters, a hotel, wine school and facilities for both weddings and conferences aboard. What an exquisite view for an event or elegant dining.
Old Sacramento is dear to my heart; Sacramento's future was determined with the gold rush. My affinity for the gold rush days all made sense to me a few years ago when my sister and I began to study our maternal grandfather's ancestry. My great grandfather came as a young child with his parents from Chile during the gold rush and settled in Angels Camp, not far from Sacramento. He later re-located to Southern California. But it has been fascinating to learn that I still have many relatives not far from my home in Sacramento.
